What is Counselling?
Counselling is described as a talking therapy. Its works by honesty exploring your feelings, thoughts and behaviours to help you find other perspectives. It is these other perspectives that lead to your solutions, different outlooks and peace of mind. I believe counselling is about finding a professional who is able and willing to sit with whatever difficulties you're facing whether an individual, couple, parent, young person or child. To not judge you and to provide a comfortable and secure space to carefully unravel difficult and painful emotions. To support you in finding meaning with those difficulties, making changes to feel better and to improve yourself and your relationships. To offer ideas that might help but to not tell you what to do. This is what I'm able to offer using a range of approaches to suit your needs and preferred way of working.
I've been helping adult individuals, couples, parents and young people in counselling for 15 years. I specialise in working with relationships, whether thats with other people, or the relationship you have with yourself. The space I provide is confidential and safe.
